What method of payment may I use for Starfish Aquatic
Club lessons?
Starfish Aquatic Club accepts Cash or Check. Please make
checks payable to "Starfish Aquatic Club."

How early should I bring my child to lessons?
You should allow enough time for parking, as it can be an
issue on Drew's campus. This is especially true during the
winter months when snowfall makes parking even more difficult.
It is recommended that for the first lesson, you show up approximately
five minutes early in order to pick up, parent's notices and
fill out waivers.

When I sign my child up for a session, how long
have I made a commitment?
A session is equivelant to either four or five weeks, depending
on the University calendar. You are committed to only the
session you register for. If you do wish to continue to the
next session, simply communicate that to your instructor and
bring a check on the first lesson of the next session. If
you continue with Starfish through the semester, at the begining
of the next session you will receive priority scheduling.

What does my child need to bring to the lesson?
Your child should be outfitted in a bathing suit, have a
towel to dry off with and as always a desire to be at the
pool to learn and have fun! A pair of goggles is recommended
for your child, as well. Hair ties are recommended to keep
long hair out of your child's faces. We provide any other
materials needed to instruct your child.

|
Can my child change at the pool?
There are changing facilities for both boys and girls with
both showers and lockers available. There is also an open
changing area just before the entrance to the pool with lockers
for younger children. Please be aware that the lockers may
be used at your own risk. It is suggested that if you do want
to use one, please bring a lock for it.

|
Where should I sit while my child is having their
lesson?
There are a few different places where a parent may sit.
Any of the benches along the side of the pool are fine for
observers. It is also fine to sit up stairs in the lounge
or in the pool's balcony. Sometimes it is more conducive to
learning for parents not to be present. Childeren tend to
pay less attention to their instructors when their parents
are in close proximity.

|
What if my child is going to miss a lesson?
Make-ups are only guaranteed if the instructor
must cancel a lesson. As soon as you know that you will not
be able to attend a lesson, please call your instructor directly
to make them aware.
